Hip & Low Back Pain

Osteopathy for Hip & Low Back Pain

Many sportspeople suffer from hip and low back pain which can affect their performance and enjoyment of their sport.  These symptoms may be the result of a specific ‘one-off’ event or injury, however they often occur with no known cause.

Sportspeople are notorious for ‘soldiering on’ when they have these symptoms, especially if there is no known cause for them – hoping they will be able to ‘run it off’ in a few days or weeks.  Leaving injuries untreated however is simply likely to be storing up problems for the future.

How do we treat?

The majority of hip and low back problems are non-serious, short-lived, muscle strains or minor joint inflammations which respond well to osteopathic treatment – including mobilisations, manipulations and massage.

Longer-term (chronic) problems are more likely to be managed by a combination of hands-on treatment along with recommendations and advice on exercise and lifestyle factors to address what has led to the problem in the first place.

Our clinic located within Chatteris covers areas including March, Ely, Wisbech, Huntingdon, St Ives & Whittlesey and beyond.
